Good afternoon!  We had another fun-filled busy day!  We honored our community heroes at the Heroes' Assembly.  It was a wonderful tribute to our police officers, firefighters, and paramedics! 



Daily Reminders:

• Spelling homework is in your child's green Take Home folder.
• Tomorrow is Early Dismissal (1:20 ELL Bus and 1:40 all others). The dismissal list I received from the office today shows everyone going home the way they normally do.  If it is going to be different for your child, please send a note with them tomorrow. 
• Tomorrow is also Show and Tell in our class.  Each student may bring one item that will fit into their book bag, it can not be alive, or a weapon, and should not be something valuable.

At school today we learned:

• that we can "Read to Self" for 18 minutes!!! (:
• about words in the -at word family (bat, cat, fat,...), and how to read new words that are in the same family.
• how to put a CD into the desktop computer and take it out so we can do another Daily 5 Activity called "Listening to Read".
• how to make a model (picture) when we are trying to problem solve in math. 
• what weather is.  We made a KWL Chart (What we Know, Want to Learn, and what we Learned) about weather.  We also read in our online science book about weather.
