HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
A special thank you to all the moms and dads who donated items (in a pinch) for our Halloween party, moms and dads who helped out at the party, and to Mrs. Blaskeiwicz for planning and setting up our party!! You all are incredible and the kids had a wonderful time at their party! They all looked so good in their costumes!
NO REMINDERS TONIGHT!
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF YOUR FIRST GRADER:
- Shared Reading: We read Pumpkins and then the students made their own jack-o-lantern out of orange and black construction paper.
- Word Work: We read Scary, Scary Halloween and identified the rhyming words in the book.
- Centers: We worked on Halloween centers today while meeting in our reading groups.
- After lunch we went to Art, recess, changed into our costumes, walked in the parade and then had our Halloween party--WOO-HOO!
Have a safe and fun Halloween, and don't eat too much candy!! (:
